The season finale of the Jace Hall Show revealed a new verse to the original “I Play Wow Music Video,” adding in contributions from fans and crew members of the Jace Hall Show (even Todd reprises his original role as “Mom”).
The original “I Play Wow Music Video” recently hit the 9 million viewer mark on YouTube and is well on it’s way to 10 million hits! What makes the music video so epic? Haterz are always gonna hate, and say what they want, but the fact remains, over 10 million people play W.O.W. For those of you who loved the I Play WOW original, check Keep Reading

From a V.I.P. ride on the Goodyear Blimp to an unfortunate candle incident with Stan Lee, this season had a little bit of everything. It all culminates this Friday as Season 4 comes to a close, with exclusive coverage of Duke Nukem Forever and more insider access at Epic Games. If this season taught us anything it’s that the world can change with the blink of an eye. One moment you’re dancing with Audrina Partridge having the time of your life, the next you’re watching you’re limited edition Hulk comic go up in flames.

Controversy couldn’t help but sneak it’s way into the fourth season, as censorship continues to pressure the video game industry to alter it’s content. California State Senator Leland Yee was a no show, but was about the only thing Season 4 was missing. The Jace Hall Show saw a man in a frog suit propose to his wife for their second attempt at marriage, Isaiah Mustafa preach about pumpkins, Cung Le Knock Todd Roy into the next hemisphere, and other events you can’t find anywhere but the Jace Hall Show (maybe that’s a good thing?). What happens when you get pubed on your own show by a group of kids half your age? Who even knows what pubez means? Season 4 answered all those questions and more, giving viewers a sneak peak into the world of gaming, unlike anything else.
Inside exclusives to games like Marvel vs. Capcom 3, Everquest II, Duke Nukem Forever, Gears of War 3, and just about any major game about to be released that you can think of. Cloud gaming, with Dave Perry at Gaikai, gave viewers an inside peak at the possible future of video games…will it allow gamers to make some scratch while playing games? That’s just another question we’ll have to wait to find out on the next season of the Jace Hall Show.
Speaking of questions, the Smoking Jacket guy traded in his attire for something a little more formal, fitting into a Tuxedo like a turtle into his own shell, answering every question that you never thought to imagine. The Tuxedo Guy took us from his jail cell to his library (with the hottest librarians you’ll ever find) edifying us with more information than even Wikipedia. The final episode culminates this Friday with the 20th episode of the season and the 76th in the series. What can viewers expect that they haven’t already seen? Well, it’s almost time to find out.

April Fool’s day…a day where you try to fool people with jokes, pranks and everyone is slightly more tolerant towards the effort. This list is meant to give you some joke ideas if you want to have a little fun, all while not ruining someone’s day. If you want to try them out, go crazy, but just be smart about it and follow the “Don’t” disclaimers listed below…
Libraries are one of the least tolerable places this side of country clubs. The slightest whisper is considered socially inappropriate, and even making eye contact is tantamount to falling asleep on someone’s shoulder while on a subway. But enter the consummate wildcard: “the marriage proposal.” It’s the only act where a guy can arguably do whatever the hell he wants, wherever he so chooses. You could bring in a mariachi band to celebrate the yes (or a violinist if she says no) to really enhance the performance and no one could care less–it’s a wedding proposal, and we’re trained to think that no matter what happens, all that matters is “yes.”
DON’T…Do a “fake” proposal with your actual girlfriend! This is as obvious as saying don’t tell fart jokes when you “meet the parents,” but still, the idea is to make a fool out of a situation, not yourself.
Trains are arguably one of the most isolated places on the face of the earth. Everyone’s in their own insular world, wearing headphones or pretending to talk to someone on their cell phone (now people mostly just play Angry Birds).
Enter the train conductor to help lighten the mood. It’s an occupation that’s been dead for roughly half a century, but that doesn’t mean it doesn’t have a place in the modern day, urban subway environment. All you really need is a cheap suit, a pocket watch, and well-rested vocal chords.
DON’T…Collect fares. There’s bound to be some foreigners who will incessantly take your picture and/or think you’re an actual conductor collecting a fare. Don’t give into the temptation (eh, photos are fine, but ask to keep the number below 50).
This one is just fantastic. If not for a April Fool’s joke or prank, it’s something to do when you’re bored (this internet thing is going to be huge…). Photoshop an old photo to send along with the story and let the fooling begin.
DON’T: Eh, you’re generating a fake news story…Fox News has been doing it for years and they seem to be doing alright.

Duke Nukem Forever hasn’t even been officially released [insert joke here] yet Fox News already has a problem with the game. That’s right, the same Fox News that brought us unsubstantial election coverage and continues to feed us Sarah Palin Rumors and Joe Biden gossip. Apparently they’re now getting into video game coverage…
“A new video game that requires you to abduct women and give them a “reassuring slap” if they freak out has gamers and women’s rights-groups crying foul. Brace yourself for the awfully sexist world of Duke Nukem Forever.”
The minds at the most fair and balanced news program this side of Riverside, California’s public access television news programming are making sure you’re aware of the frightening dangers of Duke Nukem Forever:
“The game will be available in stores and online, where customers must click a button stating they are 17 years of age or older — the only barrier to children buying such a game.”

In what was the theme of the week for fans of the Jace Hall show and Duke Nukem (is there a difference) there was a week off before this week’s episode aired, the 75th ever in the Jace Hall series. All good things come to those who wait…or to those who cause a diversion and go get it themselves. Episode 19 of the Jace Hall show gives viewers an exclusive behind the scenes look at life at Epic Games in North Carolina and a special glimpse at Augustus “Cole Train” Cole of the Gears of War franchise. Jace also sat down for another exclusive at Gearbox Software in Texas interviewing the man behind Duke Nukem Forever, Randy Pitchford.
Before Duke Nukem Forever, Randy Pitchford and Gearbox Software worked on Brothers in Arms, Borderlands, and the Half Life franchise…now they’re front and center as the video game world waits for one of the biggest releases of the year:

And who said Tennis games weren’t supposed to be exciting! Serena Williams appears in a spot to market Top Spin 4, wearing an outfit that would make a Vegas showgirl blush. The advertisement is getting all kinds of grief for being racy and offensive…but in reality, it’s just plain stupid. “The world’s sexiest tennis player meets the world’s sexiest gamer.” I’d love to know that girl’s gamer tag…I’m sure she’s an avid fan of MMO’s (insert your own acronym here).

The only thing worse than being bullied is not being able to do anything about it. Last week’s viral video took over the internet because one Australian boy decided to do just that….and he did it in style. Bullying is hard because it happens for no reason–well, that’s not entirely true, it happens more or less because a bully thinks you’re different, in other words, it happens for NO GOOD REASON.
But how do you deal with the issue of bullying? Jace posted in his video blog his thoughts: Keep Reading

There isn’t a whole lot in common between Silk Road Online and Duke NUKEM Forever, but in this case there is. This week’s free video game recipient was Kernius Ramanauskas, whose Silkroad Online YouTube videos, inspired by episode 18 of the Jace Hall Show, earned him a free copy of Duke Nukem Forever, now set to be released in June. Kernius hails from France and has asked for a pre-order of Duke Nukem Forever…which answers two questions we’ve been getting a lot in regards to the free video game award 1) Yes we’ll do a pre-order and 2) the video game award is for anyone in the entire world. There was something about Guitar Hero that I just didn’t understand. For one, you spent hours on a game in which you were learning a fake instrument. There was also that idiotic scene in “Couples Retreat” where they milk ten minutes out of the film doing a “Guitar Hero battle” which always rubbed me the wrong way (why am I paying to watch Vince Vaughn play Guitar Hero?). Guitar Hero was a game that had a tremendous amount of marketing success, but the game’s inability to translate into a productive resource for learning the huitar is what Ubisoft is trying to capitalize on, recently announcing “Rocksmith” as the future of “guitar gaming.” Keep Reading

“I guess they’re right. Senior citizens, although slow and dangerous behind the wheel, can still serve a purpose.” So said Lloyd Christmas in the unforgettable movie, Dumb and Dumber.
But let us not forget that Senior Citizens are beginning to serve a much bigger role in something that in the past was almost nonexistent: video games. Ask anyone over the age of 65 how much they enjoyed playing the NES, Game Gear, Playstation, or the Atari, and they’d probably look at you like you were a smart alek that deserved a whooping (physically that is, not in the pwnage, video game sense). But that’s changing as we speak, with consoles like the Wii and Kinect altering the meaning of what it is “to play video games.” Anybody looking for an adventure is able to sit in front of the TV or computer and take video games for a spin. Check out this 97 year old “granny” dominate Just Dance 2 and see the future competition for yourself (clip is rated ‘E’ for [literally] Everyone.)

Here I am, just a casual writer, looking to take a break from my day, perusing through the hottest trailers out right now to see what might be a good action movie. The Battle Los Angeles Trailer looked like everything you’d want in an action flick, so I gave that a whirl. But it wasn’t long, somewhere after the preview for Cameron Diaz New Boob Job movie and before the first 15 minutes of Battle LA, that I realized this was going to be a horrible film. This is just one writer’s opinion, not Jace’s, so take it for what it’s worth, but needless to say, I was very disappointed…

As we reach the pinnacle of the college basketball season and transition into the glory of the 2011 baseball season, I figure its only fitting to reflect on some of the most memorable, yet forgotten sports games of all-time. Some of these were put away because of politics, others were shelved just because audiences were too fickle to give them a shot (pun intended). Nevertheles, this is my list of the most memorable sports games that no one talks about anymore. Well, we’ll change that right now… Keep Reading

Also as part of the efforts, Capcom will not charge users of Monster Hunter Frontier Online who were affected by the Earthquake in the Tokyo region of Tohoku, their monthly usage fee.
Sega also made an announcement in regards to their Sonic iphone game(s). From now through March 20th, 100% of proceeds from Sonic The Hedgehog iOS titles will be donated to The Red Cross Disaster Relief Efforts in Japan.
