Where they found these stats we’re not sure, but they’re interesting nevertheless.
Bet you didn’t know that there are more active cell phones on the face of the planet than their are people — thanks to paranoid businessman and their spoiled children (and drug dealers who may or may technically be one and the same).
Of note, 55% of people have felt uncomfortable overhearing a cell phone conversation, which leaves a rather uncomfortable 45% to be comfortable overhearing sprinklings of someone else’s private life.
That brings us to the dubious practice of texting while driving, which the study reports 75% of people do (+/- 25% margin of error).
A normal text will take an individual’s eyes off the road for 4.6 seconds, which at 55 MPH is the equivalent of driving the length of a football field without looking at the road.
Yes the stats get worse, particularly when dealing with people having sex. Are your cell phone manners that bad? Don’t fret, evolution is certainly taking notice and is working on a way to incorporate cell phones into the human body (and calling it robotics).
We all know how that worked out.

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
