Although she hails from London, Skarlett Zukowska’s music often seems as close to the sounds of L.A./Hollywood nightclubs as possible — which may say something about how closely related the two cities are musically.
Nothing wrong with that, as her latest, “Lights Out”, continues her trend of using that Sturken/Rogers/Tricky flavor of R&B production (in this case manufactured by Aaron Bayley aka BayleyBeats) that you’re just as likely to hear in the clubs of Hollywood — though there is something undeniably Euro in its flavor.
You might have heard Zukowska on tracks like “Love Hurts” or the dubstep version of her song “Sweets”, courtesy of producer Matthew Jackson. If you haven’t and dig her sound on The Jace Hall Show, all the more reason you should head over to her soundcloud page here and check out the rest of her songs.
“Lights Out” will also be available on Scarlett’s upcoming EP, Becoming, which is due out this fall, and she plans to release a video for the single next month.
Check her music out and let us know what you think!

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
