The new Deadpool video game looks pretty damn true to the comic, by all accounts. Fast-talking, head-severing, ultra-violent, and also keeping true to Deadpool’s grating personality. I guess I always wondered what he would sound like in a game (haven’t seen the last X-Men movie yet), and now I have my answer.
At least he chops a lot of heads off, stabs his share of goons, fires some seriously big f*cking guns at bad guys, all courtesy of none other than Nolan North himself.
The game is currently under construction at High Moon Studios, and set to be released this fall by Activision.
In other news, sort of yet not remotely related, the new TMNT Cartoon premiered some clips at Comic-Con this weekend, and brings back the sorta old school look of the 1980s cartoon. In other words, if you were (still) hoping for a darker, more noir-ish take that remained true to the Eastman and Laird comics of the early 80s, then you’re going to be sorely disappointed. Again…
And while many of you might have been happy with the short-lived rumor that Michael Bay was off the live-action adaptation, Kevin Eastman confirmed that the project was moving forward at Comic-Con this weekend. If it helps, he says it’s ‘easily the best (Turtles idea) yet,” and, yes, he’s perfectly fine with a re-telling of the origin story and everything.
“I grew up reading ‘Captain America’ and ‘The Avengers’ and all that stuff,” said Eastman in the interview. “And over the course of the comic book history, since ‘Avengers’ has been around, how many times has it been reinvented, reformatted, restructured, replatformed?” Well, if you look what the cartoon was compared to the original B&W comic, it’s like night and day. Don’t be surprised if you see Krang, though if they used Uncle Phil from The Fresh Prince of Bel Air to do Shredder’s voice again, that might make up for it all. Here’s a peek at both the Deadpool game and the Nickelodeon TMNT opening:

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
