Ben Gibbard, best known as the front man for Death Cab for Cutie, took to Soundcloud today with a solo effort to honor somebody he’ll miss dearly, Mr. Ichiro Suzuki.
Gibbard, a Seattle resident and self-proclaimed baseball enthusiast, posted on his Soundcloud profile:
“I wrote this a few years ago. Today seems like the best day to let you all hear it. Thank you, Ichiro.”
Ichiro, the 38-year-old 10 time All Star, played for the Seattle Mariner’s for the last 11 and a half seasons, but was just recently traded to the New York Yankees. Fans at Safeco Field gave him a minute long standing ovation as he took the plate as a Mariner for the last time, while Ben Gibbard gave him a pretty damn catchy theme song via Soundcloud.
Here’s yesterday’s mash-up from German Mash-up in case you missed it and as always, if you have a soundcloud song you’d like us to feature feel free to send it our way

Paul Nyhart is the Head Editor and Writer of JaceHallShow.com covering everything from game reviews and previews to the cultural impact of video games.

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
