A new mobile gaming device out of China has surfaced today and is causing quite a controversy over its name and hardware design.
The DROID X360 (video below) has a hardware design that looks nearly identical to the PS Vita and with a name like that its sure to stir up some issues with a host of major players like: Microsoft, Motorola, George Lucas and Verizon.
The X360 is created by Chinese tech company Long Xun Software and runs on Android 4.0 (4.0.4 installed). The device will host a 0.3-megapixel front facing camera and a 2-megapixel rear facing camera, 8Gb of internal storage, 1.5GHz single-core Quanzhi A10 processor and 512MB of RAM.

With an 800 x 480, 5-inch, touchscreen display, HDMI out, microSD slot (up to 32GB), a mini USB Port and a 2800 mAh battery, the DROID X360 will also host 2 analog sticks as you can see in the images below.
It is not just the name of the new device that has people worried about its legitimacy and staying power, it’s the pre loaded emulators that allow users to play just about every Nintendo, Sega and Sony game released pre-1999 for free.
In fact there are 9 different emulators that come pre-installed on the device including: NES/FC, SNES, Nintendo 64, Sony PlayStation, Game Boy Advance, Game boy Color, SEGA Mega Drive and SEGA Game Gear. As many of these older games are being remade, repackaged and re released on the various mobile platforms that are available the idea of having portable emulators running all the classic games for free isn’t most likely not something Nintendo and Sony are happy about.

No further information pertaining to the device’s price and availability in North America have been announced yet. We are assuming that the device can be imported from China but with so many probable lawsuits looming, there is no telling how easy it will be.

Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
