The exclamation point isn’t part of the actual title, à la Oklahoma! — but more to indicate the urgency with which it must be seen. When I saw the latest trailer for the Expendables 2 at The Dark Knight Rises, it prompted a few chuckles from the audience — not just for the bad-one-liners, but at how completely plot-less (even for the mostly teenage crowd) the movie looked.
They might be more inclined to like this, which comes via StuffIStoleFromtheInternet and which serves as a showtunes summary of the films’ threadbare plots, complete with celebrity impersonations.
Not to mention that their resounding chorus of “PG-13 is for pussies!” kind of sticks it to Chuck Norris, who notoriously wanted his Expendables to be more Christian and kid-friendly. Lie so many great musicals, expository bits of dialogue are delivered throughout, and pretty much tell the real story: Action film stars on the verge of retirement suddenly have their careers resurrected by Sly Stallone.
The song confirms what many of us were probably thinking, i.e., no one’s really sure exactly how The Expendables was as big a hit as it was:“You could not do better than old guys who were popular back in the eighties.” Jon Kaplan and Al Kaplan’s (The Thing: The Musical), parody is worth watching alone for their near-perfect Sly Stallone and Dolph Lundgren impersonations. (Jason Statham and Jet Li are also pretty dead-on as well). While this only makes me want to see the upcoming sequel that much more, something tells me this will be a good enough substitute if you choose to stay home instead.

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
