Released in Japan earlier this year as a part of the Zelda series’ 25th anniversary, Hyrule Historia is an art book that documents the making of and chronology of the Zelda franchise among other things.
Long awaited, the book documents the full story that ties all of the Zelda games together, unfortunately for some, it was entirely in Japanese. Check out the images of the Japanese version below.
Hyrule Historia contains the first full chronological layout of the story, fans of the series have been waiting for, as well as a history of the land of Hyrule, years of concept art and developer stories.
It also features an unreleased manga of the series most people have never heard of on top of Shirgeru Myamoto commentary from over the years.

The book contains information on all of the Zelda games to date except for the disavowed Phillips CD-i games.
Dark Horse Books will be both publishing and localizing the 272 page book. According to Eurogamer a spokesperson from the company described the document as a “a page-for-page adaptation of the Japanese version with some minor tweaks. We are even translating the smallest of hand-written notes on the concept designs, some stuff that was too small to be legible in the Japanese version.”
Zelda fans are in good hands with Dark Horse as they are well known for bringing Japanese anime to the west. In fact they were one of the first publishers to bring manga to North America. They were responsible for the localization of Hellsing, Akira, Astro Boy and Lone Wolf and Cub among others.
Hyrule Historia lands in the US on January 29th 2013 and will run you $34.99 or ($19.99 if you pre-order through Amazon).

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
