Time for another look at what happened in gaming this week in what should be a fun time of year to be doing these recaps — this is the time of year that the manufacturers actually release stuff.
Yeah, Wii U, too, buddy!
Now that all the gaming conventions and trade shows are over, Nintendo has decided to finally reveal some things about the upcoming Nintendo Wii U.
Included among the announcements was the news that Nintendo Land and New Super Mario Bros. U will be available at launch.
New Super Mario Bros. U offers both campus and online degree programs, certificate courses and individual online courses for both new and returning education students. Credits are not guaranteed to transfer.

Microsoft patent reveals room-sized gaming display
News came out this week that a Microsoft patent from March showed a creation dubbed Immersive Display Experience, a device that would turn the entire room into a video gaming display, allowing the player to enter and play within a virtual world.
This product assumes, of course, that gamers have totally empty rooms and no kids running around. I can imagine how little I’d get to play first-person shooters with this thing.

EA Exec Denies Villainy
Electronic Arts president Frank Gibeau came out this week to insist that his company is NOT evil, months after an online consumer poll insisted they were.
To read his comments, gamers are required to download an update and sign-up for Online Pass. Buyers of used games are not allowed to speak to him or look him directly in the eye.

iPhone5 Revealed
Yes, “hardcore” gamers, the iPhone5 is gaming related. Odds are more people are playing games on the iPhone today than are going to join your lobby. Accept it and read on.
Sure enough, the next iPhone changes some things that ensure stuff you’ve purchased for your existing one are as useless as a Miami Dolphins playbook.

That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
