Injustice: Gods Among Us is set for release in April and now we have a few more characters confirmed for the upcoming fighter.
NetherRealm’s DC fighter will be welcoming three new fighters that we know of at this point including Green Lantern and the Joker as well as yesterday’s announcement of Oliver ‘Green Arrow’ Queen.
We have some new footage of Green Arrow in action below as well as images of Joker and Green Lantern on the game’s official Box Art via Allgamesbeta.
Ed Boon, the game’s creator, announced Green Lantern and Joker as playable characters on Twitter today:
“so then… Green Lantern, and The Joker? EB [Ed Boon]: Yup!”
Boon also said that the character Lobo was a possibility on Twitter. He was asked, “in the gamespot interview you said LOBO was dlc is that true?
Mr. Boon responded with, “Lobo is definitely in consideration.“ Lobo is an alien interstellar bounty hunter first introduced in DC Comics in the early 80′s.
Boon has promised via Twitter that we will be getting screenshots of both Joker and the Green Lantern later today. As for Green Arrow we can see him in action in the gameplay trailer below. Oliver is up to most of his old tricks with projectile arrows of different types. Green Arrow has freeze arrows that temporarily turn his enemy to ice, no sign of his famous boxing glove shot though.
With the inclusion of Green Lantern Gametrailers reached out to Warner Bros. asking if the company does indeed plan to include the entire classic Justice League line up. Warner Bros. replied with the following response:
“The game will feature a robust DC Comics roster, which will be unveiled through launch. So far we have confirmed Batman, Cyborg, The Flash, Green Arrow, Harley Quinn, Nightwing, Solomon Grundy, Superman and Wonder Woman.”
Injustice: Gods Among Us hits in April next year for PS3, Xbox 360 and Wii U.

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
