There has been much talk about a potential next gen Nexus device, the line of smartphones Google has worked closely with manufacturers to create. All signs point to “Nexus Prime” as the device’s moniker (or possibly just its codename. Either way, there have been leaks of internal and legal documents pointing towards Samsung working on the next iteration Nexus.
Many expect the Prime to be one of the first running Android Ice Cream Sandwich, which is confirmed to launch sometime in October. While we have some rumored specs including a 720p 4.65″ Super AMOLED display, today we’ve come across these images that could very well resemble the next-gen Nexus.
We admit, the renderings above and below aren’t exactly based on industry intel like the iPhone mocks, but artist Federico Ciccarese has used his imagination, current Nexus specs and design, and trends within the industry to dream up these gorgeous mocks ups of what we hope the device might actually look like.
Either way, after seeing these images the pressure is definitely on for Google and Samsung to impress us with the Nexus Prime. More images after the break.
