Epic Games took the stage with Apple execs today at the iPhone 4S unveiling to show off some of the device’s upgraded graphics and processing power with their latest game, Infinity Blade 2.
“Infinity Blade allowed us to demonstrate the true potential of triple-A handheld gaming by delivering mind-blowing graphics and awesome gameplay to millions of mobile users,” said Donald Mustard, creative director at ChAIR Entertainment.
The game will be coming exclusively to iOS on December 1st, but pricing has yet to be announced. Some of the new features in the game will include new online game modes and the ability compete for in-game items.
“With Infinity Blade 2, we’re pushing the boundaries of everything achieved to date and adding a ton of new content and unique new features to create the must-have gaming experience on iOS.”
You are probably already familiar with the Infinity Blade franchise from the first title, which was one of the first Unreal Engine 3 games to land on iOS devices. The first game made over $10 million in sales in its first 6 months and obviously made a huge impact. We’ll definitely be waiting anxiously for Infinity Blade 2.
