The premise of this video is simple: Mortal Kombat enthusiasts put on a great deal of expensive makeup (some more than others, judging by the Liu Kang), and really go all out to make themselves look like their straight out of the live-action movie.
It comes across as something of a caravan rave party, totaling nearly 9 minutes of Mortal Kombat-goodness, with the best part of all the somewhat lackluster reactions he gets from people (especially the Money Exchange clerk, who observes briefly before turning back to his computer).
Starbucks patrons and baristas, taxi drivers, along with the normal passers-by can count themselves amongst the victims.
The video has its moments, though you can’t help but wish they could have gotten some close up reactions (out-of-focus smiling bystanders notwithstanding). Still, few can withstand the sub-par dance moves of Sub-Zero, even if they seem impervious to his sense of humor. It didn’t help that mannequins were part of the crowd.
Pretty effing funny.
