If anyone out there remembers playing Goldeneye 64, you probably remember that all you really wanted to do was upgrade your respective weapons and continue shooting the sh*t out of one another. You also might remember what a pain in the ass some of those random characters in the game are.
In this real- life version of the classic game, filmmakers AlaskyFX capture what was so f*cking frustrating about those characters, especially the very hot and very dumb Bond girl Natalya.
Yet if you wanted to actually accomplish a mission solo, you pretty much had to rely on her, unfortunately — as well as your ability to keep her safe.
It’s what this parody captures so brilliantly, and makes so funny to watch. Natalya pretty much just gets in the way and little else — and if she’s not getting in your gun sights, she’s walking into walls, giving you endless insipid clues, or just staring blankly. Arguably one of the most beloved games ever made for a console ever, it really looks like they took the time to make sure they got it right.
Complete with some splattered After Effects blood and gunfire, and sound effects taken straight from the game, the lengths they went to to make it so authentic to the game are pretty impressive. What do you think?
