The ‘Misunderstood Pigs’ Get Their Revenge on The Angry Birds

We are constantly hearing about Angry Birds– whether it’s an Angry Birds birthday cake, Angry Birds themed parks, or milestone announcements.

It’s about time that the franchise’s next biggest character, the fat pigs (who are probably pretty angry themselves), get some love too. Cult of Mac points us to Misunderstood Pigs, a new iOS game that reverses the roles of Angry Birds’ main characters giving the pigs a chance to go on the offensive.

The free, ad-supported game isn’t developed by Rovio, which is surprising since it’s been in the App Store for over two weeks. Rovio most likely could of had it removed by now, but there’s a possibility it’s still flying under their radar (no pun intended).

There aren’t many surprises when it comes to gameplay. It isn’t quite as polished as Angry Birds, but the basic mechanics are all there. Most of the customer reviews seem to be pretty positive as you can see below. Not many people seem to be concerned with the fact it’s a blatant rip-off and earning money off ads in the process.

It definitely isn’t the first case of knock-off games in the App Store. We told you about “Cut the Birds”, a rip-off of both Angry Birds and Cut the Rope, and just today brought you a story about Atari cracking down on indie developers with iOS titles resembling their classic arcade games.
