At first glance, the commercial seems plain enough; equal parts annoying and over-expensive , the consumate staples of any commercial advertising a cell-phone and/or network plan. But listen closely and the latest Holiday commercial from T-Mobile has quite a “unique message” that goes way beyond making sure you don’t drop any calls this holiday. Is T-Mobile suggesting that we’re now living in a world “For The Gays?”
“Stream movies and shows, It’s Santa to go! Walking in a FORGY wonderland”
Google FORGY and you’ll find the acronym: “For the Gays.” Is T-Mobile trying to tell us something? Keep Reading
As a reminder that Barbara Walters is still alive, and rivals Bob Costas as the only human not to have aged over the past 20 years, the list of The 10 Most Fascinating People of 2011 was recently released.
While fascinating is a broad term, we found some of the inclusions on the list rather odd. Nothing against any of the people, we just happen to see things a little differently here at The Jace Hall Show and put together our own, dare we say more accurate, list of the 10 Most Fascinating People Of 2011. I never was a big fan of fraternities when I was in school. Perhaps it was the fact that you had to pay to belong to them, or acceptance was determined on whether you could withstand a man peeing on you, all while you had to drink a gallon of milk in 5 minutes.
The recent story from the University of Vermont’s chapter of Simga Phi, a fraternity with over 293,000 lifetime members, is quite chilling. The chapter has been suspended for passing around a survey amongst their house asking their members “If they could rape someone, who would it be?”
“Sigma Phi Epsilon and its leadership programs are built on the concept of respect for both self and others. Any behavior that demeans women is not tolerated,” said a national representative for Sigma Phi.
(Meanwhile the Office ho’s and CEO’s party is still on for this weekend at the Delta Chapter…) Keep Reading

Activision officially announced that Modern Warfare 3 grossed over one billion dollars in its first 16 days, quite the feat for the game that was promoted alongside the Jeep Cherokee, Xbox console, Mountain Dew, and last but not least, Gunnar sunglasses.
Love it, hate it, or ignore-it-because-it’s-not-Skyrim, Modern Warfare 3 has shattered video game sales records, but how does it compare to other franchieses and enterprises in modern culture?
In other words, how is the gaming industry sizing up to some of the most profitable Keep Reading
So Jace Hall’s girlfriend, fitness model Alicia Marie, started playing World of Warcraft and for a lack of better word, got sucked in and is now extremely addicted to WoW.
While Jace and Tood Roy, the latter of which admits to being in a relationship with the Cataclysm Expansion pack, were busy working on Jace Hall Show season 5, this video popped up asking some very key questions that only 1337 players of WoW would be able to answer. Keep Reading
Turtle Beach, the ever popular company known for making state of the art gaming headsets, is dispatching a gamer who reportedly has absolutely no battle experience into Iraq to see “real” war.
The promotion was put together by the company’s New Zealand distributor, Fiveight. Their spokesman, Ben Ward, believes gamers don’t just want to hear the experience of a warzone in their headset, they want to experience it firsthand and document it as an online series:
Gamers play in virtual warzones every day and night, and they want the immersive feeling of combat…So we thought we’d take that experience one step further. They want a real experience? Turtle Beach can give it to them.
That certainly sounds entertaining and provocative on a press release, but what is it REALLY that Turtle Beach is doing? Keep Reading
I get a lot of questions from fans of the Jace Hall Show ranging from breaking into the gaming industry to 1337 secrets on living the gamerlife.
I do read EVERY e-mail that is sent my way by fans and try to respond to as many questions as time permits. With the volume of e-mails, it is just not possible for me to answer them all, even though I do MY BEST TO TRY! If you ever want to send me a quick message on Twitter, as many of you who follow me already know, I am VERY active and can respond to your messages on there as well.
Please feel free to submit your questions using this link and I hope you enjoy the response below! Keep Reading
This video is going on 6 weeks old now and is just now becoming viral. Ironically enough, the message of the video isn’t new either, in fact, it’s become something of a broken record that no one has the due dilligence to turn off.
We don’t usually get into politics here, for obvious reasons that the man in this video Dylan Ratigan, mentions. Sure he looks like the love-child between Glenn Beck and Mel Gibson, but he raises many salient points that affect all of our lifestyles, be it Americans or not.
I’ve been coming on TV for three years doing this, and the fact of the matter is Keep Reading
There are very few things that many of us would hold more sacred than our games. Some would call that a weakness, other just a way of life.
According to China Daily, Liu Yang is a 12 year old boy from the Northeast, Chinese province of Shenyang, one of the most industrial cities in the country. In April of this year, Yang fainted in school because of leg pain and was taken to the hospital. It was discovered that Yang was suffering from Ewing’s sarcoma, a very rare case of bone cancer that’s reported in roughly 0.3 people out of 1,000,000.
Yang’s father has diabetes and can not work. He’s stopped treating himself so that he can pay for Yang’s treatment. The family is renting a temporary house without heat, saving the money from their heat bill to put towards Yang’s treatment. Keep Reading
In a lecture by Jane McGonigal, Professor at the Institute for the Future, online gamers spend a total of 3 billion hours a week honing their craft. Snce the first online Warcraft game emerged in 1994 — that’s nearly a combined 6 million years. And if they have any interest in seriously saving our world, it ain’t nearly enough.
While McGonigal’s speech was earlier this year, we feel it’s important enough to recap as a reminder as the year closes out — after all, it is in the interest of saving humanity.
McGonigol has a list of goals she hopes gamers will help accomplish. She concedes that some of her goals may seem impossible (and also laughable, judging by the audience reaction), An example being that over the next decade, “make it as easy to save the real world as it is in online games.” Keep Reading
We’ve seen our fair share of bizarre mugging/robbery stories over the past month, but none have taught a lesson quite like this.
Chicago police say that a 24 year old convicted criminal, Anthony Miranda, asked a man in a parked car for a lighter…than proceeded to point a gun in the man’s face and ordered him out of the car.
According to the story in the Chicago Sun Times:
At some point, Miranda’s attention was diverted and the victim was able to grab control of the gun and the two wrestled. Keep Reading
It’s by far one of the most graphic PSA’s you’ll ever see…and if you were to ask the group that put it together that’s precisely the point.
The video comes from the Florida Department of Transportation, and shows actual footage of people getting hit, run over, and flipped by cars.
The campaign, dubbed See The Blindspots, wants to get your attention so that you start paying attention to the road. Keep Reading
News is beginning to spread its way through the media that American’s rights are under attack, and that the nation famous for fast food and football is now a declarable ‘battlefield’.
If you paid attention to any of the Black Friday events, you might think that battlefield is a fairly accurate assessment. But is the media blowing this story out of proportion or just trying to keep the government honest?
The United States Senate defeated an amendment, 61-37, which ALLOWS suspected Al Qaeda terrorists captured in the U.S. to be held in military, not civilian, custody. Essentially, it makes the National Guard part of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Opponents believe it puts the United States Keep Reading
Most of us know that, despite just about anyone being able to get into mobile app development these days, it can still be quite a pricy venture to have a professionally developed app (depending on its functionality). However, to spend $200,000 of taxpayer money on what might possibly be the most useless app ever created is an absolute abomination.
Thanks goes to developer Rich Jones over at Gun.IO who, after being appalled with the quality of the OSHA Heat Safety Tool app, set out to find out exactly how much it cost taxpayers. Keep Reading

Eric Smith had found his dream girl; she was everything that he wanted her to be. She wasn’t necessarily perfect in her ways, just to him, which prevented him from telling any difference. Shopping for an engagement ring was only a matter of time, the only question really was what style to get for her.
Turns out Eric’s girlfriend was quite vocal about white kind of ring she wanted, she spoke about a specific type of diamond that was a light shade of yellow. Smith never budged and got her the ring; the halo that would go around her finger and always remind them of what they had.
Ideally…
After making the investment, Smith’s girlfriend had some bad news. The kind of news you could conceivably expect to hear somewhere in between sharing a phone plan and getting a puppy, not while talks of wedding rings entered the picture. Keep Reading
Louisville Cardinals football coach Charlie Strong pinned his team’s recent loss not on talent or clock mismanagement, not on x’s and o’s or a failure to execute properly in the red zone…he said his team lost in part because they practiced terribly all week and were ultimately distracted by…the release of Modern Warfare 3.
“I said on Tuesday we have guys that miss class because they want to stay (up) all night and play that video game, whatever it was,” Strong said Monday at his weekly news conference. “Call of Duty…they sure got Keep Reading
It’s no secret that with trillions of dollars in debt, unemployment nearing double digits, and gasoline prices that rival most footlongs at Subway (premium sandwiches not included) things aren’t looking so good for America’s future right now…
As a sign of dissatisfaction, our generation a.k.a. the “Millenials” who were born after 1981, have begun to occupy some street corners here and there and write articles that may or may not end up in some google search results 2 years from now. But what are we really doing to combat the problems that many members of the older generations are leaving for OUR GENERATION TO SOLVE?
The answer may rest in how much success we’re having with one of our most beloved assets: Technology. Particularly, how effectively are we using the internet and social media to spur our generation’s growth? Keep Reading
Ever since the days dated back to when recess was invented, no boy ever wanted to be compared to a girl. You don’t want to run like one, throw like one or just plainly suck at tetherball like one.
But as hobbies turned inward to video and computer games, with new gamers popping up from age 1 to 100, girls are getting in on the act and causing a new question to materialize in the gaming world:
What does it mean to play like a girl…in video games?
For female gamer Jenny Haniver, it means enduring a constant stream of taunts, jeers and overall nasty criticism based on — you guessed it Keep Reading

On the surface the bill has good intentions, one of the first efforts by the State of Michigan to curb the frequency of bullying in schools. But according to lawmakers on the opposition, the bill does nothing for the issue, in some cases, it could make things even worse for children that suffer constant harrassment from their peers.
The bill being sent through Michigan’s state legislation is called “Matt’s Safe School Law,” named after Matt Epling, a Michigan student who committed suicide in 2002 after being a victim of chronic bullying. Keep Reading

After the horrific showing in our viral video department and the mess that was Kim Kardashian’s divorce taking over the internet, we went out looking for a sign that mankind hadn’t taken one giant step towards self-destruction.
We came up with this, an inspiring clip with a positive message that shows people aren’t miserable and do indeed still like each other, despite corruption, marital affairs, and other political controversies that would provide evidence to the contrary.
Trent Glaze, (certainly sounds like a sports name) is an Ohio High school student that has been bound to a wheelchair for the past 10 years. Despite all of this, he’s always had one dream Keep Reading
