Ice-T and Body Count Drop New Track for Gears of War 3

Going to be honest; I knew Ice-T was a G4M3R with a capital G, but metalhead?

Back at E3 he announced that he was reuniting with his buddies from Body Count to make a song for Gears of War 3, and now we’ve got a glimpse of it. Ladies and gentlemen, this may without a doubt be the very definition of nerdcore.

The video showcases GoW 3′s upgraded Horde Mode, which itself is looking pretty sweet–but as a metal fan I can’t deny that Body Count’s got it where it counts, especially since the song’s DEDICATED to the game itself. (It’s called The Gears of War. Hard not to be.)

Ice-T’s vocals seem like they work great with the fast-paced sound of Body Count, which could be reminiscent of 80′s Metallica or more modern day groups like All that Remains.

The full track can be bought off the official Gears of War soundtrack, which will be released on September 20th. Can’t wait? Well this video will just have to tide you over…
