MC Frontalot has made a lot of awesome videos. Some of them feature bears in jet packs, others the recipe for toilet paper — the kind of irreverent topics that we’ve likely never taken time to think about, but since you mention it, hey, we’d really like to know! And from the twisted minds of Max Isaacson and Frontalot, we have what may be his best yet: “Stoop Sale.”
And not just because it’s a masterfully clever re-creation of what the legendary Brooklyn equivalent of a yard sale is, but because it features Frontalot himself as a puppet…as well as some rather intricate and cleverly rehearsed direction.
And damn if it doesn’t look like they went to a fair amount of trouble to design those sets, as small as they seem. Some of the best moments include: a vignette of Frontalot daydreaming, and getting mobbed by a bunch of rabid, zombie-fied fans, and the closing, which features the entire bizarre cast of the video singing along and taking over. Bears and toilet paper are hard to beat, so this was clearly no easy task.
