YouTuber gavdget, aka The Reborn Identity, is a video and audio artist who specializes in mashups, sometimes to mixed success — combining Deadmau5′ ‘Support” with “Cousins” by Vampire Weekend made for a pretty great mashup — the combination of Hurts, Muse and the Bowie-Queen classic “Under Pressure”, however, works brilliantly, especially since Bowie and Mercury are put at the front of it all.
We get a little bit of Muse at the end, thankfully with some all-too-brief shots of a bra-less girl in a bathtub– but it’s just the right amount of the band, if not boobs.
I’m not a huge Morrissey fan by any means, but I will say there were moments in here when the camera would start on the legs and pan up only to reach Morrissey’s face, when I expected it to be Lana Del Rey’s. That’s distracting enough, suffice it to say that this mashup between Del Rey’s “Video Game” and The Smiths’ “Charming Man” really seems like 90% Morrissey swinging his shirt around and singing about a charming man and 10% shots of guys with cameras, skateboarders, and Lana Del Rey.
Currently TRI is working on a series of mashups for director David Lynch’s upcoming album, Wrapped in Plastic. Sound off below if it’s something you’re looking forward to after seeing these two videos.

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
