At first listen, The Death Set doesn’t sound too far off from the dubstep/electro/hip-hop crowd, or somewhere in between.
They manage to deliver on both fronts: Aggressive, loud, literally in-your-face…So right off the bat, there’s a lot to like.
As for art, their video for their single ‘They Come to Get Us,’ off their latest album Worldwide, may very well be one of the most creative goddamn things I’ve ever seen.
As Perry Farrell once sang, “Chaos is a beautiful thing,” — I always wanted to know what he was talking about, and finally, a visual/audio display like this pretty much sums it all up.
TDS plays host to a series of animated pop culture staples, many of them mutated hybrids somewhere between rotoscoped (live action traced over with animation) pop culture icons and others real-life hapless bystanders caught in the chaos. Quite spectacular to look at, with an Enterprise, Godzilla, and Mario (amongst others) blowing lots of stuff up real good. See what you think:
Thanks to @RockoHoward for the heads up.

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
