ArmCannon boasts a truly unique ability: to cleverly mix the beauty of insanely fast guitars with insanely fast chiptune work. Guitarist Danimal Cannon’s work with Metroid Metal has already proven he’s clearly on some high-quality amphetamines when playing.
Yes, Dan and company play, and they play fast as hell.“The Big Crunch” is a chiptuned version of some seriously dextrous guitar work, mixed with frantic 8-bit NES melodies and HOLY SH*T A SOLO — all live, and to the sound of rather rapturous applause. Somehow it all works, and if t doesn’t, that means it can still serve a purpose in driving people away from your cubicle/room/car and into oncoming traffic. AC (as their tight buds like me like to call them)are the 8-bit equivalent of Megadeth and Maiden thrown into one — and none of the hackneyed Mario themes thrown in.
And for the love o’ pete, don’t miss his truly EPIC cover of the Chrono Trigger theme, done a la power metal/Rhapsody style. Truly amazing stuff this guy’s got going — check out “Danimal Across America” if you don’t believe me. Seriously, check it out NOW, dammit. Oh yeah, and his Soundcloud page here.
Anyways, superlatives are overrated. Check ‘em out.

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
