Avril Lavigne, whose new husband/Nickelback frontman Chad Kroeger has given her permission to cover his band’s “How You Remind Me”, will be donating the song to the soundtrack of the upcoming and latest in the series of One Piece anime films.
The two will reportedly duetting on the track, along with several other songs for the follow-up to her 2009 CD Goodbye Lullaby — something L.A. Reid, head of Epic Records, confirmed today, which means that soon every major gym franchise around the world will be playing the song every hour on the dot.

If you’re unfamiliar with the One Piece anime, it tells the story of Monkey Luffy, a cabin boy that hangs out with a group of pirates and eats a piece of Devil’s Fruit that turns his body into rubber and gives him semi-Mr. Fantastic capabilities. It’s also one of the most popular manga serials to be published in Weekly Shonen Jump, and was the only comic to consistently drive sales of the mag up over 11 years. So it must be pretty f*cking good, eh? Here’s a trailer for One Piece Film Z, if you want to make up our own mind:

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
