With DC focusing its attention on the Man of Steel and Justice League movies, auto-makers Kia and DC Entertainment have collaborated on a brand new car known as the Optima Hybrid Superman One, a self-explanatory environmentally conscious Optima, painted to look like Supes himself.
While Clark would certainly approve of its green theme, really, what’s the point IF IT CAN’T FLY?
Here’s a look at the rear side of the car, complete with a drawing by Jim Lee:
and here’s the interiors:
Kudos to the collaborators for creating something more Fast and Furious, as opposed to just slapping a crappy Superman insignia on the hood. Yep, this baby has a deep-blue painted chassis, red spinners, and, uh, vaguely pinkish underlighting that would no doubt send Bizarro Superman to the nearest sports bar to shoot sonic peanuts at patrons. In case you missed it, Kia and DC also collaborated on cars based on the entire Justice League last fall:
The car has been created to raise funds for the We The People charity, an organization that gives money to needy children in the Horn of Africa. The campaign is partly the brainchild of DC Comics, who wanted to bring awareness to the drought and famine going on there. You can donate by going here, and you don’t (necessarily) have to buy the car:

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
