There is certainly no shortage of methods to getting TV shows on your iPad. Unfortunately, the majority of the current software options require a paid subscription to Netflix, or a similar service in order to provide a truly enjoyable experience.
Ever wished you could just grab and even record DVB-T (Digital Video Broadcasting) radio frequencies in order to pick up free broadcast TV? The Eye TV Mobile tuner from Elgato incorporates a miniature telescopic aerial capable of picking up, among others, 50 digital Freeview channels and 24 digital radio stations right on your iPad.
Simply attach the peripheral via the 30-pin iPad 2 dock connector, download and launch the EyeTV Mobile companion app, and start browsing, watching, pausing, and even rewinding and recording shows.
Eye TV Mobile’s new TV dongle is of course aimed at the European market and will land sometime in the coming months for £99.95 ($143 USD). You can learn more about DVB and its country-by-country availability here.

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
