Analysts and bloggers alike expected T-Mobile to get their hands on the iPhone 5 when it launches sometime (we hope) in October. However, it looks like the carrier’s Chief Marketing Officer Cole Broadman has confirmed they will in fact NOT be getting the device, at least not before the holidays.
The evidence comes from an internal document (above) via our friends over at Tmo News. Included in the doc is a transcript from a recent “Town Hall at Field Service Center” of Broadman discussing the carrier’s upcoming marketing plans. Right at the end of the transcript you can see the text “Note: “We are not going to get the iPhone 5 this year”.
Of course at this point there is no way to confirm the legitimacy of the document nor the statements within. It’s important to remember that most of us expect Apple to introduce two new iPhones come October. One a full-blown iPhone 5 refresh, and the other an iPhone 4S upgrade of sorts. Even if Broadman is right, they could still be getting a iPhone 4S model.
Apple is expected to launch the next-gen iPhone models sometime around the first week October. Typically invitations to the launch event would have gone out already, which has left much of the industry in suspense as we get closer to the expected launch window. We’ll of course keep you updated as we learn more, as always.

That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
