We have seen some interesting new innovations in robotics over the years but today we have brought you one of the most convincing and fluid transformer robots in a while.
In the video below you can see the robot in action, it is a car that transforms into a bi-pedal humanoid (via TechCrunch).
This has to be some of the smoothest and best implementation of a real life Transformer we have seen in a while, maybe ever. Check out the video and gallery below.
The transformer robot is created by a company called Brave Robotics and is on sell for a mere 1.98 million Yen. The Tokyo based company looks to have been in development on the robot since 2002 and in the recently uploaded video below you can see the time and work has paid off.

The 1/12 scale Transform Robot version 7.2 is controlled wirelessly with a Playstation 3 looking controller. In its car form it essentially functions like a remote control car. The car is front fitted with a wi-fi cam for wireless visual monitoring. In its upright humanoid form the robot walks and can change back and forth between both forms seemingly at will. The robot is completely 3D printed other than the motors and circuits.
As well as the history of the official site telling us that the robot has been in-development for over a decade now it also mentions the company’s future plans, to create a full size transforming robot. The site says the company is looking to have the AI controlled car/humanoid bot built by 2030.
Originally dug up on Reddit the pricey transforming robot also has arm mounted missiles for extra value. If you haven’t figured it out yet 1.9 million Yen is about $26,000 which comes with the robot, carrying case, controller and software among other things.

Logan Huffman wants to know who is posting comments about him online and asks Jace for help. Meanwhile Joe Flanigan is caught again flirting in the V costume. Jace heads to the set of Law and Order: SVU to catch up with Ice – T and Coco and the Starcraft II team gets “rushed” by World of Warcraft Lead Designer, Jeff Kaplan.
Jace has decided to take advantage of his co-hosting duties at the Sony Online Entertainment Fan Faire celebration, by showing his new music video to the thousands of EverQuest players in attendance, much to the dismay of the crowd. That didn’t stop one enthusiastic guest from doing something radical.
