Oh Hi, Tom! “The Room’s” Tommy Wiseau is Back in the Game

It’s rare that we see video game news so good it makes us sh*t our pants. If the return of Tommy Wiseau to the world of video games isn’t reason to be wearing plus-size Depends, we don’t know what is. If you’re not familiar with the man behind The Room, L.A.’s longest-running, in-theater cinema messterpiece, allow this montage from MST3K to sum it up perfectly:

While information on The Tommy Wi-Show is pretty scarce, the trailer, with its schlock Mystery Science Theater aliens and pulpy sci-fi moonbases, is a universe of promise. From the moment Wiseau pops up and snarls, “I am relevant to your interests!” we feel his pain, and are looking to welcome him back with open arms.

The best we can offer ya is this official synopsis, which comes from Machinima (the show’s producer): “(The Tommy Wi-Show) follows Wiseau as he is repeatedly abducted by different races of mysterious aliens and transported to distant planets, where he is forced to test popular video games.”

There ya go, enough of a reason to rejoice, The Room -style. And by rejoice, that maybe means eating a gun like Wiseau did or just being happy and saying ‘hi’ to everyone…
