Why I Hate Prom (A Rant)

Driving down Hollywood Boulevard yesterday, trying to avoid as many rats and Charlie Chaplin impersonators as possible, I couldn’t help but notice a Hummer limousine unloading what must have been 20 prom-goers as its cargo.
The girls all had flowers in their hair, dangling curls that could only result from four hours sitting in a chair while someone fried it into the perfect bow. The guys all had enough hair gel to stop a tree from moving in the wind, the result of being a guy with four dollars to blow on Tresemme hair products.
I couldn’t help think that it was only a couple of years ago that was me — well one of the guys, at least (my hair is naturally curly). Continue reading “Why I Hate Prom (A Rant)” »
