“Remember that video game you played as a kid? The one you were always on the edge of beating, but always fell just short? You probably talked about it for years. Even as you played other games, it was always in the back of your head, gnawing away at you, taunting the gamer in you. You knew you were good enough to beat it, but it was always the one that got away. Until one day you couldn’t take it anymore and you shut off your phone, locked your door, and through sheer force of WILL, finally beat it. We all have that game. It is your White Whale. Everyone’s is different, but we all know the overwhelming satisfaction that comes from finally conquering that challenge. This was our goal for Blood.”
This is how Scientifically Proven Entertainment’s Chief Executive Officer, Nathaniel ‘Than’ McClure, describes his studio’s upcoming title, Blood of the Werewolf and its focus on meaningful challenge. The game is a throwback to the brutal glory days of 2D side scrollers and a celebration of classic horror icons. Far Cry 3 was one of last year’s best games and is widely considered to be one of the best FPS experiences of this generation. It looks like Far Cry 3 fans might not have to wait much longer for more of it.
The Brazilian Classification ratings group has posted a curios listing for something called Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon. The project is filed as a first-person-shooter coming to the Xbox 360, Playstation 3 and PC (via Joystiq). The tip on the listing came from @lifelower, who is noted to be “typically reliable.”
Far Cry 3 lead writer Jeffrey Yohalem hinted that the game is getting some kind of continuation. Whether that continuation is coming in the form of DLC or some kind of new entry in the franchise, we don’t know at this time.
“I’m working on something now that will be surprising, I think, when it’s announced. But it definitely is a ‘strike while the iron’s hot’ thing, and we’ll see,” Yohalem told Joystiq.
It is also unclear whether or not Yohalem is referring to the same product the Brazilian Classification lists.
At this point, that is all the details we have. Ubisoft CEO Yves Guillemot made comments about Far Cry last month when he said, “fans certainly won’t have to wait four more years for the next Far Cry.”
We also have some possible (but probably not) XBLA artwork here for Blood Dragon (via NeoGaf).
We last reported to on Far Cry 3 when Ubisoft announced plans to allow players to reset outposts and capture them again as well as the introduction the Master difficulty level.
Ubisoft has shipped 4.5 million copies of Far Cry 3 since its launch back in November (EU, AU) and December (NA) of last year.

Even as we all watch Christian Bale and grieving families in the wake of last week’s shooting, it’s natural to feel powerless. There’s a bunch of different ways to help, however, if you’re so inclined — among them the Aurora Relief Fund, which has collected over $2 million so far.
We’re not talking just basic medical care but years of post-op/physical therapy a lot of the shooting victims will likely need afterwards.
Even if somebody can just spread the word, the more people who hear about such foundations, the more likely they are to get the money they need. Here’s a few of the organizations taking donations:

Aurora Victim Relief Fund
Colorado Red Cross

Sometimes nerdcore is like this stream that runs dry and then all of a sudden it sort of of just spurts out of nowhere and is all over the place (that’s a blood metaphor).
Thank god there’s guys like this to give us yet more of it, based yet again on another rather blood-gushing epic tale — and this time it’s courtesy of Mr.Dominic Omega, a dude I’ve never heard of but who’s so skillfully woven his rhymes with the the epic score of GOT (all dutifully mixed by The Arcitype).
