Even as we all watch Christian Bale and grieving families in the wake of last week’s shooting, it’s natural to feel powerless. There’s a bunch of different ways to help, however, if you’re so inclined — among them the Aurora Relief Fund, which has collected over $2 million so far.
We’re not talking just basic medical care but years of post-op/physical therapy a lot of the shooting victims will likely need afterwards.
Even if somebody can just spread the word, the more people who hear about such foundations, the more likely they are to get the money they need. Here’s a few of the organizations taking donations:
AuroraGov.org
Aurora Victim Relief Fund
Colorado Red Cross
Bonfils Blood Donation/ Relief Fund

Google announced that they were celebrating the holidays by making a $40 million donation towards improving girls’ education, empowering technological innovation, and fighting human trafficking and modern-day slavery.
It’s no secret that the United States is falling behind in education and innovative new technology, but the donation by Google shines a light on the pandemic issue of global slavery.
Despite the passing of the 13th amendment, which prohibited involuntary solitude and the United Nations Universal Declaration of Equal Human Rights, the world has more slaves now than in any time in human history — 27 million. Google’s donation will help free over 12,000 people from modern-day slavery and prevent millions more from being victimized, all through support through organizations like:
