With it being the 25th anniversary of the famous Mega Man, many fans of the series have been overall pretty disappointed with the lack of a proper new title. We reported to you on Christian Svensson, senior vice president of Capcom USA, when he told Nintendo Power that the company will definitely be bringing a new console Mega Man game in the future, but it hasn’t happened yet. Today we get the re-release of the 6 original Mega Man games.

We last reported to you on Mega Man with Capcom’s release of the fan made, Mega Man Street Fighter crossover. Available today, Street Fighter X Mega Man pits the blue bomber up against new bosses in environments from the world of Street Fighter including Blanka, Rose, Rolento and Ryu.

If you didn’t join us for last night’s event in 1337LoungeLive, you missed a visit by James Stevenson from Insomniac Games, who presented the new Ratchet & Clank game, and the lovely Brittani Johnson, actress for the Angel in Borderlands 2. Here’s a video recap of the highlights and yes, the incredible giveaways.

A very special gathering of massive talent today in 1337LoungeLive at 7:00 PM PST, as we welcome prolific video game voice director Taliesin Jaffe, who will be bringing a group of voice actors he’s directed from Super Street Fighter IV and Street Fighter X Tekken. He’s rounded up Matthew Mercer (Fei Long), Jason Charles Miller (Guy), Gina Grad (Rose) and Jordan Albert (Kazuya).

In addition to being the voice of a couple Street Fighter characters himself (Blanka and Adon), Taliesin Jaffe is an ADR director and writer for over 20 anime roles, notably R.O.D the TV and Hellsing. If you’ve got questions about voice acting for video games and cartoons, he’s got answers.

Join us in 1337LoungeLive for what promises to be a highly entertaining night with voice actors taking up the controls for two of the most celebrated titles in fighting game history, and battling each other using the characters they voiced. Shenanigans shall ensure.

We’ll see you in the Lounge!
