Mass Effect 3 will finally be coming to a close with its upcoming Citadel DLC.
The Citadel is a single player, story driven campaign add-on that will see Commander Shepard on one final mission. He will reunite with many Mass Effect characters from throughout the trilogy
Today a Trophy/Achievement list has surfaced online, hinting at what else is expected in Shepard’s final mission.

BioWare Is Hinting That Some New Mass Effect 3 Content Is On The Way

New Mass Effect 3 images have surfaced online leading some to believe that there could be some new DLC for the epic sci-fi RPG on the way. The two images (seen below) came to us courtesy of series executive producer Casey Hudson and producer Michael Gamble on Twitter this morning (via AllGasmesBeta).
At this point it is unknown what these pictures might be teasing, but chances are it is regarding some new content coming to Bioware’s ME3. The two mysterious images showcase a Krogan and a casino.
Along with the images the two tweeted about each others leak. “Does not look like a guy you’d want to mess with,” Gamble said pertaining to the Krogan image Hudson dropped. Hudson in turn, commenting on the casino image from Gamble, said “looks like a nice place for some R&R…”

Gamble then followed up on Twitter once more with:

The official Mass Effect Facebook page took notice of the two teaser images. The page reads:
“Casey Hudson and Mike Gamble both tweeted some strange images this morning. What do you make of it?”
Like we mentioned above there is no official word from Bioware at this time as to what these images might be teasing. Along with some comments last month from designer Joe Hendricks and composer Sam Hulick, most people believe the images to be teasing some upcoming ME3 DLC. Hendricks said, “pretty much every ME3 DLC writer here in Edmonton is involved” in creating new DLC. Sam Hulick added that this new content has a “high potential for tears.”

Bioware is still working on Mass Effect 3 with its biggest DLC just around the corner and they are already making plans for ME4. One thing the development studio has said is that it will certainly not be starring a character similar to Commander Shepard.
Recently some of the folks at Bioware Montreal spoke with VG247 about the future of the Mass Effect franchise and the direction it will be taking.

A full-length trailer for Mass Effect: Paragon Lost has finally been released, which means we can all rest easy — or start hatin’, take your pick.
This can really only mean 2 things: a)presumably any and all worries regarding the Mass Effect anime (and whether it would ever get made) can finally be put to rest — that’s good — and b)the fact that James Vega will be the sole focus of the anime means that EA will probably be investing a lot of energy in the James Vega character for all things ME-related for the foreseeable future. Mass Effect 3 will be getting some new DLC in the way of the free “Earth” add-on. According to The Verge, who went hands on with the DLC at SDCC, the third batch of free multiplayer content for ME3 will extend the co-operative wave-based mode with new maps, characters and items. “Earth” will be available tomorrow on all compatible platforms.

Many of us have been eagerly awaiting the new Mass Effect 3 DLC that will apparently satisfy those of us unhappy with the original ending. The DLC is said to extend the story of the game’s characters through a series of epilogues and cinematic sequences coming to us next week. Check out the interview below for details from Bioware.

I remember the first day I ever used a Game Genie — I especially remember the day after, when I threw it away. For those of you unfamiliar with the Game Genie, it bequeathed you every cheat code on the face of the planet, essentially allowing you to beat a video game in less time than it took to make your seat warm.
Back in those days, video games were pretty damn hard and it wasn’t frowned upon to give yourself an edge, or a genie, that could give you access to reaching the game’s end. But even then there was something dissatisfactory about not ACHIEVING greatness, but having it GRANTED via a cartridge that issued you cheat codes.

BioWare Announces “Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut” DLC To Expand Game’s Controversial Ending

Following a massive outcry from Mass Effect fans everywhere regarding there disapproval of the Mass Effect 3 ending, Bioware has announced today exactly what it plans to do about it with the unveiling of Mass Effect 3: Extended Cut. The developer previously confirmed it would make changes to the game’s ending to appease fans, and the Extended Cut will do exactly that.

When a Mass Effect tribute begins with the disclaimer “After a night of heavy drinking and watching the movie Animal House, a friend and I decided ME 3 needed the same kind of ending,” it sounds like they’re looking to all the right places for inspiration.

BioWare Confirms New Mass Effect 3 Ending In The Works

We have been covering the controversy surrounding the Mass Effect 3 ending for some time now, and it seems finally the ME community is going to be getting some closure. For about a month BioWare has been considering making changes to latest iteration of its sci-fi shooter and now Dr. Ray Muzyka, co-founder and general manager of Bioware has confirmed that the company has new content in production as we speak in response to the backlash.
Today Dr. Muzyka issued a statement to “Mass Effect 3 players” on the company’s website. Only 18% of Mass Effect 3 Players Want to Play as a Female Commander Shepard. Why?!

According to recent research, Mass Effect 3′s designers have found that only 18 % of players choose to play as the female Commander Shepard. Additionally, a chart released by the app’s designers shows clearly that not only do most players choose to be BroShep, but that 68% of them would also rather be soldiers.
So does this point to a larger problem — specifically, do guys and/or gals have a problem with playing as female characters? Or does it point to difficulty certain people (especially guys) have with women in positions of authority? If you haven’t heard by now, BioWare’s Mass Effect 3 released earlier this month is causing a bit of controversy over its ending. Don’t worry, no spoilers here. The developer has now responded to angered fans, while a petition to “Retake Mass Effect” has raised over $35,000 for charity.
According to Child’s Play, who is behind the petition, the campaign isn’t to express anger with BioWare, but simply to “express our hope that there could be a different direction for a series we have all grown to love.”

Upon first glance, the latest trailer for Mass Effect 3 looks like it could easily eclipse SW:TOR as one of the most expensive sci-fi game’s ever made.
With vague remnants of James Cameron, tons o’ Ridley Scott, and a little Children of Men, this live-action, minute-long commercial has all the makings of a full-length sci-fi epic…which people just DON’T WANT EA TO mess up!
