Blizzard is showcasing a brand new class this week for Diablo 3. On the lead up to the release of the game, Blizzard has been incrementally releasing trailers for each of the game’s classes. Along with a brand new trailer (below), the Wizard class has a full overview as well as a short story to detail its lineage and background in the Diablo world.
With an incredible display of magic we see the female wizard take on hordes of demons in the new class trailer. The Wizard class is described as “renegade spellcasters who use their bodies as vessels for arcane energy, forsaking the more careful path favored by other magic users.” The Wizard class will allow players the control over “all manner of forces to disintegrate, burn, and freeze their foes,” adding that they can control time and space as well as “teleport, create powerful illusions, and deflect oncoming attacks.”

Blizzard’s Diablo III Open Beta Weekend Kicks Off Today

If you haven’t yet been able to get your hands on Diablo III in one of its closed rounds of beta testing, you’ll be happy to learn that Blizzard announced today an Open Beta Weekend for both Mac and PC users that will simultaneously be a server stress test to prepare for the May 15 launch date.
The open beta weekend officially kicked off at 12:01 PDT today, April 20, and will last until April 23rd at 10:00 a.m. PDT. Diablo III Available For Pre Order Now

Blizzard has finally announced the next iteration of the highly acclaimed Diablo franchise will be released May 15. Digital copies of the game are available for pre order starting today for $59.99 at Blizzard’s Battle.net.
Diablo III picks up some 20 years after the “Prime Evils were defeated and banished from the world of Sanctuary.” The player will investigate “rumours of a fallen star ” and will “return to where it all began – the town of Tristram …”
