Samsung’s Epic 4G Touch (Galaxy S II variant) lands on Sprint

Looking to upgrade to a new Android device on Sprint? Starting today Samsung’s Galaxy S II variant, the Epic 4G Touch is officially available via the Sprint website. It’s gonna set you back $200 on the usual two year commitment, but the good news is you’ll be getting one of the better Android-powered smartphones on the market for much less than possible before now.
If you couldn’t bring yourself to part with $600+ for the unlocked Galaxy S II, the subsidized price will definitely make it easier to make the switch. The 4G WiMax-capable device sports a 4.5-inch Super AMOLED display and an impressive 7.7-thin design. Most of the other hardware specs mirror its Galaxy S II counterpart available on other carriers. Sprint compatible iPad coming soon?

Our friends over at 9to5Mac have just received word that Sprint is already prepping an iPad for their data network that would see the device launching sometime before the end of the year. This follows rumors that have been all but confirmed that Sprint will also soon be getting their own iPhone 5 variant.

Unlimited iPhone data coming to Sprint in October?

A report from Bloomberg and various other sources claim that Sprint plans on standing out from the alternatives by offering an actual unlimited data plan for the upcoming iPhone 5. A move that they reportedly hope will give them an advantage over their two biggest competitors, AT&T and Verizon, who are also expected to get the next-gen iPhone when it’s lands sometime next month.
