For the die-hard Trekkies, the 1966-69 series will always remain the most definitive and truest Trek.

Forget the cheap sets and prop designs; forget (or REMEMBER!) Shatner’s priceless “I’m losing command!” moment in that elevator with Spock. Stories from Star Trek like “Let this Be Your Last Battlefield” and “The Doomsday Machine” captured imaginations worldwide with their thought-provoking, Ellison-esque philosophical insight — however shallow it might have seemed, y’know, condensed into a hour-long time slot.
